Foreword by the President

Hello and welcome to our website !

I would like to welcome you to the site of the Dutch Pointer Club and I am pleased to briefly introduce ourselves to you.

We are a small association, linked up with the Dutch Kennel Club and make it our goal to promote our beautiful breed, the Pointer.

We are doing this in more ways than one. The Pointer is a long time known as a bird dog. This dog is beautifully built, has a good character and needs a lot of movement indeed.
In that perspective we yearly organize various Field Trials, in springtime and autumn.

Once a year we organize a Club Match, if possible together with other British Pointing Dog Associations in Holland. Because we think that a working dog must have beauty, we're also promoting participation in exhibitions.

At least once a year the Dutch Pointer Club organizes other activities for her members, such as a walk in nature.
The Club publishes a periodical named Pointerklanken, that appears four times a year.
